Your tone here is incredibly nasty. It's fair to ask: what did people who identify as trans/non-binary ever do to you?
I'm neither of those, for the record. I'm a cis-male who uses that term out of simple respect of my friends who are elsewhere on the gender spectrum.
It sounds as though you believe that gay or lesbian cis-people are oppressed but trans/non-binary people somehow aren't. I can't understand how you could get to that perspective, but the degree to which you seem to feel entitled to ration your empathy is troubling to say the least.
Why not err on the side of compassion and inclusion? What do you have to lose?
And why deny the personal truths of trans/non-binary people by forcing them into the pronouns of their dead genders and therefore erasing them?
What are you so angry about here, really?
