You are way too invested in the idea that you and anyone who wants to put limits on how much they accept trans/non-binary people are all victims of unfair constraints- it’s kind of embarrassing.

Neither you nor Dave nor anybody else with the views you hold have suffered any injustices on this, and Dave is totally out of line in even implying that trans/non-binary people are somehow responsible for the mainstream LGBTQ leadership not being sufficiently antiracist.

I read your column- it’s just that I don’t find most of its premises valid.

Trans activists, like anyone else who has to be activist to survive, can sometimes be less than polite- the same thing could be said of the Black Panthers and La Raza. When a community is literally being murderedin the streets, that community doesn’t always have the luxury of being as tactful and deferential as others might prefer.
