Yes-because it is reactionary and anti-democratic in the small "d" sense to work from the assumption that all questions in this country were settled by a group of powdered wig-wearing slave owners in the 18th Century. A constitution and a political system that cannot reflect the country as it is today, but only as it was for a few decades, over 200 years ago, cannot possibly be valid. If the Constitution does not grow with the nation, it is a dead and useless document.
