Why not just offer the simple, workable proposal: Palestinians get the West Bank and Gaza, East Jerusalem as their capital, physical RoR for the elders of 1948, and apologies for dispossessed, coupled with acknowledgement that Israel wronged Palestinians by sending them into exile and spending decades slandering them as nothing but bigoted barbarians instead of what they are- basically decent people who've experienced injustice and must be made whole for it, with all illegal West Bank settlements removed and the IDF permanently out of the West Bank and Gaza, in exchange for what's actually Israel- the lands West of the Green Line, minus Gaza- being guaranteed peace and security, combined with an admission that neither national community is alien to these Landa and both are basically decent peoples who can be trusted to create and maintain decent societies, combined with an admission that bigotry isn't a major part of this conflict and neither side needs to be made to "surrender"?

Why not just do that? Why the perpetual Israeli obsession with the outdated, useless concept of crushing and humiliating the Palestians? Why not just admit that it's useless to insist on "winning" in a era where military victory anywhere is useless and impossible?
