This article is a great illustration of the concept that "two things can be true at the same time". It is true that the attack on the music festival on October 7th simply shouldn't have happened- the people attacked were innocent anti-Netanyahu progressives who would mostly have supported the idea of a two-state solution, and if it was an improvised choice as an alternative to attacking the Israelaser plant, it was a stupid alternative.
At the same time, it is also true that it is suspicious that the festival was moved to this location, in an area where it was known that Hamas was likely to strike something, and that Netanyahu, having been informed that Hamas was going to do something dramatic and deeply violent, didn't do the simple, logical thing and order the festival canceled, as anyone who wanted to protect innocent Israeli lives would have done.
The role of the festival organizers in this is also deeply suspicious- were they somehow being rewarded by Netanyahu- a discredited, hated leader who was about to be forced out of office and imprisoned- for giving him the pretext for what we now know will be a drawn-out, possibly years-long war that will serve no other purpose but keep him in power for as long as possible?
