The war didn't start on October 7th. Israel has been carrying on a relentless war to drive all Palestinians out of the West Bank and Gaza since 1967. Even Ben-Gurion begged them not to make peace impossible by settling the West Bank.

Nothing the IDF is doing is self-defense- none of it is about "protecting Jews" and those of us who actually WANT a world free of antisemitism and all other forms of hate- all of which are just as indefensible as antisemitism- are seeing through the lie that Israel is anything like a safe haven for the people it purports to exist for. It is clear now that that people exist solely- in the eyes of what has degenerated into "actually existing Zionism"(to borrow from the East German Stalinist parlance for their sickening, repressive betrayal of socialism) to justify the war to expel Palestinians from Palestine- and that that state no longer cares if expelling those people puts the people it purports to exist for into greater danger.
