The problem with the essay’s argument is that it makes no distinctions between “nudniks” and people who have VALID grievances.

It’s not as though EVERYBODY who complains is a “nudnik”-what defines the “nudnik” is the arrogant, bloody-minded insistence making a big deal over nothing.

It’s not being a nudnik to complain about being charged for using the safe in your hotel room-it’s being a nudnik to complain about being charged for drinking five rum-and-Cokes made from the bottles in the minibar.
