The joke was predicated on the idea that Ilhan Omar was capable of bringing a freaking bomb into the Capitol Complex- I assume you'd be willing to admit she isn't capable of doing anything remotely like that- what else could that be called but an insinuation that she's a terrorist? There is nothing "clever" about one member of Congress implying that another member of Congress can't be trusted not to blow up the building where Congress is located, and Omar did nothing to deserve that implication.

I know clever, and this wasn't clever. It was a nasty, bigoted lie.

Just admit Boebert crossed the line on this one.

BTW, there was nothing in the story we're commenting on that comes remotely close to the Islamophobic ugliness of Boebert's "joke", and nothing that equates to "hatred". Also, the Trumps are not and never have been anything remotely similar to victims.
