The four swing state stopped counting at midnight because they had counted all the ballots cast on election day, and were not ALLOWED, thanks to last-minute laws passed by legislatures under gerrymandered GOP control passed laws forbidding the counting of mail-in ballots until after Election Day. There was no good reason to pass those laws, there was no good reason to forbid those ballots from being counted as quickly as all the others were, and everyone knew there was never any chance that the mail-in ballots would all be disallowed.

They should just have allowed those ballots to be counted when all the others were.
