The Dems didn't obstruct Trump- they started his presidency by launching a fully justified investigation of Russian involvement in the 2016 election, but even with that, the outgoing Obama Administration fully cooperated with his incoming administration on a peaceful transition of power, and a lot of Democrats voted for his most important legislation, including the pointless and unjustified massive tax cuts for the rich, the totally unneeded massive increases in the war budget, the huge cuts he made in social benefits-and never proposed restoring when restoring them would have made a huge positive difference in this country during the Covid outbreak, in which his dismissive refusal to admit we were in a national health crisis and his unwillingness to even ask the country as a whole, including his own supporters, to mask and socially distance for the greater good. The Democratic House even voted for the massive bailouts to the already-rich he insisted on during Covid while at the same insisting that ordinary working people get as little help as humanly possible.
Compare that to how the GOP in Congress treated Obama-a president I'm not even THAT big of a supporter of- throughout his presidency: They spent eight years perpetuating the "birther" lie, they repeatedly shut down the government until Obama agreed to accept enormous cuts in social benefits, they refused to confirm his last Supreme Court nominee simply because it was the last year of his presidency- even though they gladly confirmed Trump's nominee in the last year of his- and treated President Obama himself as an unAmerican extremist whose extremely modest healthcare proposal would somehow turn this country into the USSR under Stalin.
