The CHOP was in Seattle, not Portland, and no racial segregation was done there.

And yes, white liberals are usually a let-down to black and brown people- but that doesn't mean black and brown people get better treatment from white conservatives. It's white conservatives who have spent the last fifty-five years fighting the Voting Rights Act. Nobody who wants it to be harder for black people to vote is going to give black people a better chance in life.
