racial gaslighting was just used to devastating effect in the general elections in the United Kingdom, when Jeremy Corbyn-a lifelong campaigner against ALL forms of racism and bigotry-was falsely accused of “racism”-specifically of being anti-Semitic, even though people who are Jewish are not actually a “race”-though they deserve absolute solidarity in their fight against rising right-wing bigotry and oppression-just because he supported self-determination for the people of Palestine and did not take the side of the Israeli government against Palestinians in the Israel/Palestine conflict. The party who spent most of the time smearing Corbyn as a “racist” for being in solidarity with Palestinians, the Conservative Party, was the party which, as the dominant partner in the World War II all-party coalition government, oversaw the barbaric policy of taking in Jewish refugee children from Europe, but sending their parents back to the European mainland to be exterminated-a policy which not only left those children orphaned but, in many cases, left them with adoptive parents who forced them to convert to Christianity-and whose current leader, Boris Johnson, who won that election by smearing that lifetime antiracist campaigner as a racist-publishe a novel in titled “72 Virgins” in 2003 in which he endorsed the anti-Semitic canard that major global institutions are run by Jewish conspiracies.
