Questions The Democratic Party Must Address…Things it Must Change

Well, the results are in and the shock is beginning to wear off. We are now in an incipient authoritarian “Christian Nationalist” situation.

The only conclusion that can be drawn about the Harris/Walz campaign is that every choice it made was a horrific mistake, and everything it did was a catastrophic failure.

Democrats, if they wish their party to survive, let alone recover at the polls, must be brutally honest about what has to change, and must ask the tough questions, which are, as I see it:

  1. What HAPPENED to the billion dollars the Harris-Walz campaign claims to have raised? What was it used for? What should it have been used for that it wasn’t used for?
  2. What happened with GOTV(get out the vote) this year? Clear, as it appears close to 10 million fewer people may have voted this time- even though it is alleged to be a higher voter turnout, and as Trump may end up going from 47% to just over 50% of the vote with the same raw vote total or even possibly less, how did Democrats NOT get the voters they needed to the polls?
  3. Related to that- why did what appeared to be enthusiastic rallies fail to bring voters to the polls?
  4. How do Democrats reconnect with the voters they seem to have lost large chunks of support to Trump to in this election- Hispanic/Latino/a/Latinx voters and, of all groups Muslim voters?
  5. What voters did Democrats make a mistake in concentrating on this year, and which voters…
