Proposed Code of Values And Conflict For The Palestine/Gaza Solidarity Movement

(Submitted for response and critique)

Context:

I wrote this…from my positionality as an individual, not as the expression of the official viewpoint of any organization, but in response to a lot of unacceptable rhetoric- expressions of actual antisemitism, as opposed to legitimate expressions of Israel-critical or non-bigoted anti-Zionist opinion, in some Gaza solidarity marches.

These expressions have largely vanished in recent weeks- and some were actually the words of alt-right/neo-Nazi infiltrators in the marches and protests, and that some reported incidents, such as what was said to have been chanted at the march in Sydney but actually wasn’t- but they still need to be addressed and it still needs to be made decisively clear that the Palestine/Gaza solidarity community rejects these types of sentiments and that ALL people from all communities, ethnicities and faith/ethical traditions are welcome in these marches.

I present this today for response, suggestions, and critique from the Palestine/Gaza solidarity community.

It currently reads as follows:
