People are better off getting the chance to do the leading themselves- running workplaces democratically, making shared non-economic decisions in local and regional people's assemblies, with national popular consent required before all military interventions.
No decisions should be made solely out of the economic, political or egotistical seld
self-interest of a "leader" or small group of leaders. There may be a place for neutral administrative figures in carrying out decisions from below.
I'm not calling for anyone to be left helpless-I'm saying everyone should share in the say.
We're past the time when any greater good can come from mass layoffs at short notice, plant relocations solely for the benefit of shareholders, or military interventions in an age where war is futile.
