Older white guy here…in that situation, I’d have to go with shooting the dog. And other white folks…if you’re offended at this piece, you’re missing the damn point. The writer is not anti-dog. The writer is saying black human lives should not be of less value to you than the life of a dog. Is that point really that freaking hard to grasp?
