Nobody before Trump ever said the quality of the art didn't matter.

What you're not seeing...or simply choosing not to admit...is that any valid creative forms will be honest about life, and therefore automatically be taken as political.

There is no such thing as art that simply refuses to engage with reality, and there is no such thing, in this era, as any art of any creative quality that reflects a conservative sensibility.

"Art" that honors the rulers is never art- it is simply decoration.
