Netanyahu SHOULD have taken the Hamas offer- made immediately after October 7th- to release all the hostages then in exchange for Israel not going into Gaza.

The hostages would all be alive, and the at least 40,000 Gazans the IDF killed for no reason after October 7th would also still be alive.

I've always condemned October 7th.

But what Israel had been doing to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza also needs to be condemned.

And Netanyahu also needs to accept, once and for all, that the conflict cannot end without Palestinians getting their state- their "right to exist"(which Israel already has becaues the PLP recognized Israel in 1994 and there's no difference between recognizing a state and recognizing a state's right to exist.

Hamas are horrible- but this has never all been Hamas' fault and Netanyahu- who spent decades "bolstering" Hamas as a counterweight to Fatah, when Fatah was always the most reasonable Palestinian leadership Israel was ever going to get- has as much blood on his hands for October 7th as anyone else.

Pretending that Hamas exists for no reason achieves nothing, just as pretending that if Hamas were wiped out- which it won't be- the whole conflict would end, or pretending that it's possible to get peace without accepting Palestinian self-determination and without Netanyahu stopping his shrieking claims that the entire conflict is the fault of Hamas and the mythical "unrelenting Arab campaign to destroy Israel" is delusional.

I mourn the dead of October 7th and all those who have been killed since October 7th.

Never again...for ANYONE!
