Leon Rosselson, in his brilliant athiest song "Stand Up For Judas"- which, btw, he was once permitted to sing in St. Paul's Cathedral in London, thanks to the involvement of religious songwriter Sidney Carter, of all people- ends with these words:

"By sword and gun and crucifix

Christ's gospel has been spread

The way that Jesus led

The heretics burned and tortured

And the butchering bloody Crusaders

The bombs and rockets sanctified

That rain down death from heaven

They followed Jesus, they knew the answer
