Jews and Israelis are not synonymous. Nobody said it was OK to kill Jews. All that's been rejected is the idea that the only way people can prove they grieve the deaths of innocent Israelis is to support a response thar will kill huge numbers of innocent Gazans. We can assume, for example, that any Gazan child under age 14 bears no responsibility for anything Hamas does.

There are other responses- freeze the bank accounts and seize the assets of Hamas leaders; send Mossad or Shin Bet agents in specifically to take out the leadership; let ordinary Gazans move to the West Bank and guarantee a viable Palestinian state will be immediately established once Hamas vanishes, with at least partial RoR for all Palestinians and acknowledgments, apologies and compensation at fair market values for all they've been put through.
