It's not as simple as saying "it's all Hamas' fault". There'd BE no Hamas as an influential faction if Netanyahu hadn't "bolstered" them- his word, "bolstered"- just to weaken Fatah, when Fatah was reasonable and could have been worked with- if only the Israelis hadn't been bound and determined to humiliate any Palestinian leadership that engaged with it.

Pretending this is ALL Hamas' fault, and that the conflict started on October 7th, is delusional.

And you have no right to claim to be the only one who cares about the hostages, or that they are the only people that matters.

October 7th, bad as it was, doesn't erase everything Israel ever did to ordinary Palestinians for all those decades before that date.
