It's a good point that the Negev is barren and that essentially nobody other than the Bedouins want to live there- so why is the Israeli government constantly bulldozing the villages Bedouins are trying to build there? What difference does it make if they settle in an area where nobody other than Bedouins has ever wanted to live or ever WOULD want to live? Why not just let it ride, since the villages do Israel no harm?
