It appears that Mr. Trump's supporters think God gave His only begotten son just to get people to read the last chapter of the Bible- a chapter Jesus had nothing to do with writing, and which was considered merely an allegory for how Christians were treated by the Roman Empire until some random Anglican cleric in the 18th Century with too much free time decided to claim it was about the literal end of the world.

In other words, these people think God is a sociopath.
