Inequality, greed, injustice and wars are not "basic human truths" though- there arae no "basic human truths" that require anyone to accept that life must be run as it is run now, or else be run in MORE unjust, punitive, or exclusionary ways.

Why not assume that the human mind, which in your beliefs is a product of the divine, can and should be given free rein to imagine infinitely kinder, gentler, more generous, more participatory and more validating and meaningful ways to live?

It's not as if anything in the teachings of Christ depends on their being continuing suffering, misery and fear of suffering or misery.
