I wasn't defending the Grand Mufti- he was a horrible person.

The point is that Hitler was the one who had the idea for the Holocaust- or, if he based it on anything, it was Turkiye's genocide against the Armenians- a crime, he had noted, that the world said nothing about at the time.

Nobody in Palestine is to blame for the Holocaust, and it's obscene to try and invent a kind of Palestinian "original sin" by pretending the Grand Mufti caused something he didn't come remotely close to causing. Hitler was always going to do an extermination project. He would never have let it go at just kicking the Jews and other "non-Aryans" out of Europe.

Of all the things you could do, why would you try and let Hitler, of all people, off the hook?
