I recognize that Bernie-like all the other candidates-has said and done things in the past that could be used against him.

That said, the polls generally have him running a stronger race against Trump than any of the “moderates” the DNC keeps insisting we HAVE to go with. Sanders supporters and activists find it crazy-making that the party insiders keep acting as though that doesn’t count for anything.

Given that the main argument for nominating Bill Clinton in ‘92-and the repudiation of much of what the Democratic Party stood for that went with that-was that he was polling better than anybody else in head-to-head matchups with the GOP incumbent, how can polls be treated as irrelevant in Bernie’s case?
