I know about the Amin Al-Husanyi, the one and only "Grand Mufti of Jerusalem"- everybody who had the job before him was just called the Mufti-the Brits added the "Grand" to appeal to his hopelessly swollen ego.

Amin Al-Husanyi(also sometimes spelled Husseini) was a nasty bigoted dirtbag.

He is also totally irrelevant to the current Israel/Palestine conflict.

Al-Husanyi was sent into exile in Lebanon in 1950-70 years ago- and deservedly so.

Al-Husanyi has also been dead since 1973- 47 years ago.

The overwhelming majority of Palestinians alive today weren't even BORN in 1973.

And it has repeatedly been demonstrated that, congtrary to Netanyahu's delusional assertion, that before he met with Al-Husanyi, Hitler had no objectives other than simply getting the Ashkenazim to depart Europe.

Hitler was never going to be satisfied with that. He could never have tolerated the idea of the community he hated more than any other simply moving to another continent.

There are letters written by Hitler as early as 1919 in which he had stated that his objective was the extermination of the Jews. he never, at any point in his political career, renounced that goal.

I agree with you that Al-Husanyi was a total bastard. He is also an irrelevant total bastard, and it's absurd to insist that what Al-Husanyi said and did over half a century ago should mean, in this day and age, that BLM and everyone else are obligated to oppose any form of Palestinian self-determination and to defend what Netanyahu is trying to do- make it permanently impossible to ever create a Palestinian state- just to prove they aren't antisemites.

The way to fight antisemitism is to fight for a world free of all forms of oppression- NOT to give one government that purports to speak for the legacy of one people's oppression unquestioning support in its insistence on oppressing a group of people who were mostly born after most of the oppression occurred.

No Palestinian born after the death of the Grand Mufti is responsible for any of his words and deeds, and even the Grand Mufti, scumbag though he was, is not complicit in the Holocaust- Hitler's despicable project was always going to led to extermination, and Hitler would have done everything he did even if Al Husanyi had never been born.

The only people complicit in the Holocaust were the white Europeans who worked with Hitler to make it happen and the white governments of the U.S., Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand that turned away refugees from Hitler in their hour of most desperate need. What those entities in those times did was indefensible and unforgivable, but no one outside of European, British, and North American Christendom is responsible for that- and no one who is not white has ever born any responsibility for that.
