I have to wonder what it does to someone's head, when the only chance that person has to advance in politics or life is to relentlessly attack and disparage his own community- to, in this case, say the things all the white racists in the Conservative Party wants to say about Black people, but can't quite get away with saying themselves.

At a certain point, that would start eating away at a person's soul, wouldn't it?
