How can it possibly harm cis gay people for trans or non-binary people to expect everyone else to respect their pronouns? It's just a gesture of respect to do so, and refusing to accept the pronouns of others is the same thing as erasing THEM("them meant as trans or non-binary people as a collectivity in this case)? It's far MORE harmful to demand that trans or non-binary people accept the canard that they aren't who they are and that they should have to accept living a lie?

Is it really asking so much to accept both trans and non-binary identity, on the one hand, and gender noncomformity within cis identity on the other? Why not just say "everybody has the right to be who they are, so long as they aren't harming anybody else"?
