Here's the thing- in the 1920's, there was a man named Marcus Garvey who was trying to get Black people to go back to Africa on their own. Yet the kind of people who kept shouting "go back to Africa!" then and now did all they could to oppose and end Garvey's movement- including this country's most powerful institutional racist, J. Edgar Hoover. On their own logic, wouldn't you have thought they'd have supported Garvey on that?
