We still need The Green New Deal to both save the climate and break the GOP grip on working-class white voters, because it free those people from the choice of either having to work in extractive jobs or see their kids go hungry.

We still need free public college-and free trade school- because we need everybody to be able to both get the level of education that would allow them to pursue their dreams, both personal and political, and because it forces people to lose themselves and check their souls at the door to have to look for jobs that will pay enough to retire student loan debt-something black college graduates have more of than anybody else

We still need something at least close to free healthcare, so that no one has to live their lives in the fear that a single personal health catastrophe could be their financial ruin.

None of that is utopian. It's just about a decent society.
