For a start, it's simply wrong to equate support for Palestinian self-determination and opposition to Netanyahu's temporarily-paused massacre in Gaza with "support(ing) Hamas".
It's not "support(ing) Hamas" to say that it's morally wrong to collectively punish everyone in Gaza for the actions of Hamas. The vast majority of people who are there are refugees(or the descendants of refugees) from the West Bank or Palestinian towns in what is now Israel proper- side note: I support Israel's right to exist in peace and safety within the pre-1967 lines, in the only areas that can legitimately be called Israeli territory, with a viable Palestinian state free of Israeli troops living in peace and security next to them, and with all of the illegal West Bank settlers removed from its territories, which is something that must exist for there to be peace- who have no alternative but to stay in Gaza because if they moved to an Arab country, as Netanyahu demands, they would never be allowed back, something I assume you would concede is a manifest injustice. Netanyahu at least, if nothing else, needs to give THEM a right of return in exchange for doing what he's asked and leaving the combat zone, rather than acting as if they simply have an obligation to vanish and spend the rest of their days in permanent exile, never allowed in their homeland again.
It's not "supporting Hamas" to support the creation of a Palestinian state- in fact, the only way to get rid of either Hamas OR Fatah as significant groups within Palestinian political life is to create such a state, since nothing can change in the West Bank or Gaza, no reform or democratization can ever be possible, as long as the IDF continues to patrol those areas and continues to harass, torture and kill innocent Palestinian civilians, people who have no means to get rid of either existing leadership, and have no reason to think that doing so will make any part of their lives better, let alone that doing so will lead to the Israeli government and the IDF leaving them be or letting them take control of their own futures.
And it's not the place of this author to tell anybody they are obligated to "stand with Israel", to demand their support for what it's doing to ordinary Palestinians, defend its apparent complicity in at least some of the deaths on Oct 7(based on reporting from Haaretz among other supporters), and especially not for him to tell anybody who is Jewish that they are "self-loathing" unless they are Zionists and unless they defend everything Netanyahu is ordering the IDF to do.
Netanyahu is simply one person.
Israel is simply one country.
Zionism is simply one (now-permanently right-wing) nationalist movement that achieved its objectives in 1948 and no longer has any reason to exist as a movement or to demand that everyone support it or be found guilty of a vile form of hatred.
The whole article is lies, verbal abuse and unjustified insults- none of whose targets have done anything to deserve any of it.
And quite frankly, there's no reason to think the Gaza invasion is going to achieve anything more than its worst achievement so far- the killing of thousands of Gazan children.
The leader of Hamas lives in a luxury hotel in Qatar. Why didn't Netanyahu just sent the Mossad or Shin Bet there to take him out surgically? Why kill Gazans just for being Gazans? Why tell them to go to South Gaza, then BOMB South Gaza when that's supposed to be a "safe zone" for ordinary Gaza civilians? Why reduce all of this to nothing but payback for payback's sake, when 75 years of conflict prove that payback for payback's sake is never ever going to end this?
What the hell good is any of this?
