Fair point. I suppose we can say that Marvin Gaye was the sort of artist who simply couldn't MAKE a truly bad album, even when he MEANT to.
Apparently, the ex-wife he aimed the album's lyrics at, Anna Gordy Gaye, eventually came to like the album herself. Go figure.
