Does the Democratic Party even WANT to win the mid-terms? Would the party establishment PREFER a GOP congress?

We are two weeks away from 2022 as this is written.

The GOP is going all-out to try and take Congress.

The Democratic establishment, just as in 1994 and 2010, doesn’t seem to give a damn about stopping a right-wing takeover.

They aren’t trying to mobilize the base.

They aren’t working on the improved GOTV efforts they will need to withstand the antidemocracy effects of the voter suppression laws in the “swing” and “red” states.

They appear to have simply conceded the loss of the House- even though that guarantees an end to the January 6th investigations and therefore allowing The Former Guy to endlessly rage-gloat about being exonerated even though he has never been exonerated of anything.

It truly looks as though the Democratic establishment doesn’t want any continuing possibility of progressive change of any sort to occur- that they want to lower the party to the meaningless, useless toxicity of the post-1994 Clinton era, when a Democratic president simply obeyed the orders of the GOP House and Senate and embraced the entire white backlash narrative- gloating about executing more Black people, agreeing to massive and unjustified cuts in social benefits, signing a welfare bill(he could at least have had the decency to veto it and make them override the veto rather than totally abandoning the poor) and launching another unneeded defense build up- with any criticism of…
