Corbyn cared just as much about winning elections as Blair did, and so do those who supported him.
It doesn’t have to be a choice between going back to the useless Third Way position or not ever winning again.
And it is clear that, if the PLP has accepted that the 2016 leadership revote settled the leadership issue and got fully behind Corbyn, Labour would have won the 2017 election-it only gained seats and votes because Corbyn convinced a generation that Labour stood for something again.
It would have served no purpose for Corbyn to behave in the way the author wants-to live as a snob and to assume, as the author does, that wealth is a proof of superiority.
