And, before 1945, Arab countries treated the Indigenous Jewish communities there far, far better than Christian Europe did- there was never an Arab equivalent to Torquemada, or the tsars, or Hitler, and Palestinians and Arabs have every right to have an issue with being unjustly lumped in with every European Christian persecutor of Jews that ever lived.
It was a catastrophic mistake for people who identified as "pro-Israel" to imply that Palestinians and Arabs were simply another group of anti-Jewish monsters.
Were they saints? No. Did they do things that at times were harsher than necessary? Yes. But NO, they were not the latest villains and treating them as if they were unrelentingly brutal to the Mizrahi and the Sephardim was an obscene oversimplification of history.
