All that ever happened in the public schools-and it never happened all that much- was that occasionally, the schools would teach versions of American history that did not validate the bigotry and spite of some people's parents.

And people don't ever question the status quo in this country simply because of what they were taught in public school or college. Radicalization is mainly a result of being exposed to the brutal, hypocritical realities of life.
